Interdisciplinary Education

Overview

This project aims to establish DKU and IGHE as a hub for research and innovation in interdisciplinarity in the Chinese higher education context. It involves weekly reading group discussions, building a network of China-based scholars and administrators, convening workshops, and developing white papers.

Levels of Faculty Engagement 

  • Reading Group Members: Engaged in weekly reading group discussion to understand the challenge and opportunities for interdisciplinary research and education in the Chinese context; contribute to white papers or reports. Engagement starts in Fall 2024. Compensation will be provided. 
  • Lab-Sponsored Project Leads: Conduct educational research/experiments and produce reports. CFPs will be available in Fall 2025. Funding will be provided.  
  • Project Contributors: Provide feedback and consultations to the project through occasional meetings or email exchanges to help the lab set priorities and agenda for programming. 
  • Event Participants: Attend workshops and conferences, starting from Spring 2025.
